OK, for about the second or third generation of my Fundulopanchax scheeli, I got about three times more males than females.

I'm guessing it's either water chemistry (hardness, pH) or temperature. I keep them at about 72 degrees, in half Montgomery County tap water and half rain water.

I think I'll start keeping them in full strength rain water, since that probably more closely matches their home water. Before I do the next water change, though, I thought I'd check the forum to see if anyone else had the same experience and what they did to over come it.
