HEY GUYS,ANYINE KNOW HOW TO SEX BLUE GULARIS,IVE GOT SOME COLORING UP AND SOME ARE A LITTLE DULL IN COLOR,NEVER HAD THEM BEFORE SO NOT REAL SURE ON SEXING THEM SOME HAVE BIG ROUND BELLIES,COULD BE FROM EATING BUT SOME ARE STARING TO SHOW WHAT LIIKS LIKE STRIPES AND OTHERS ARE GETTING A IRRIDESCENCE WHICH I ASSUME ARE THE MALES AND THE FEMALES ARE THE DULL ONES?SOMEONE HELP ME OUT. supersherm
You got it right the ones that are coloring up are the males. Please remove the males as they color-up they can bee very tough on the smaller females. the anal and dorsal will start to show bands of color . females are drab with some spotting are their flanks as they get bigger/ a little yellow or very faint orange on their fins, There is no mistaken ID on the Blue Gularis.
